Speaker 1:

Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Dona Watson Show. I'm your host, Dona Watson. I'm just an average American Patriot who loves God, her family, her country. I try really hard to listen to God's voice. Sometimes I write stuff. Come with me, together let's explore this crazy experience we call life. Welcome to the show. Hello everybody. Welcome to podcast 27:"Hello, Beautiful!" I just want to pop on for a couple minutes this morning, real quickly and talk about a conversation I got in this morning with my mom and my sister. Um, talking about hair, makeup, beauty, bangs/no bangs. Do we style our hair? Do I wear makeup? And when I opened my Daily Insights devotional for today on May 5th, I found Psalm 139:13 referenced. It reads:"You formed my inward parts, you covered me in my mother's womb." And I thought how interesting it was that today's devotional, especially in light of our conversation this morning, talks about how so often we end up comparing ourselves to others people, our appearances to other people's appearances. And in our own eyes, so often we don't measure up. We fall short. But I want to tell you today that in your Father's eyes, you don't fall short. You are a beautiful daughter of God, or you are a handsome man of God. Someone that God has created. Every strand of your DNA he planned before you were born. He knew what you were going to look like. He knew what you were going to be. And he smiled. He created your talent, your intellect. He has prepared you to be the most amazing person. I hope that soaks in. This is just a really short word today, but I think it's important. Remember, as you face your day today, God loves you. He planned for you. He built you. He created you to be who you are and he loves you so much--just the way you are. That's all for today, guys. I love you. Have a good day. Bye.
