Speaker 1:

Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Dona Watson Show. I'm your host, Dona Watson. I'm just an average American Patriot who loves God, her family, her country, and I try really hard to listen to God's voice. Sometimes I write stuff. Come with me, together let's explore this crazy experience we call life. Welcome to the show. Hello, everybody. Welcome to podcast number 22:"Impossible? Not with God's help!" In our world. We are faced with what seems to be one impossible situation after another. I Want to encourage you today that with God, all things are possible. You might say, he doesn't know the meaning of the word impossible. In the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, we find one seemingly impossible situation after another. And we also see how Jesus could handle these with ease. In fact, he spent three years showing the disciples that when God wills for a thing to be done, nothing can stand in the way. He multiplied bread and fish to feed thousands when there wasn't enough food, he raised the dead back to life. He healed the sick. He calmed the raging storms when the disciples feared their boats were going to sink because of the wind and waves. Mark 6:56 says,"Wherever Jesus went, into villages, towns, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch just the end of his robe. And everyone who touched it was healed." So I asked, where are you today? Are you surrounded by storms so intense it seems your boat's going to sink? Jesus has an answer for that. Are you so beat up by life's pressures and stresses that you feel wounded or maybe even dead inside? Jesus has an answer for that too. You see, the enemy wants to beat you down so badly that you don't even have the energy to ask for help, but the enemy is a liar. Satan wants to kill you, but God wants to bring you back to life. Psalm 4: 3 reads,"Know that the Lord has set apart the faithful for himself; the Lord will hear when I call to him." The Lord is waiting for you to call out to him. He is waiting for you to reach out, to touch his robe. How? You might ask. How do I touch Jesus' robe? God, the Father, the Son, and the Spirit together form the Holy Trinity. God is spirit. The Trinity is spirit. The power of God is pure energy. An energy so powerful that he created the heavens and the earth, man, and all living creatures. This force of energy surrounds us. It keeps our hearts beating. It keeps the sun shining and the plants growing. The enemy would have you believe that God has abandoned you and is nowhere to be found. But that, my friend, is a lie. The life force of God is present in all living creatures. Open yourself to him, give him praise. And when you open your heart to God and make yourself available to do his will, he will be faithful to fill you with his presence. I think that Psalm 4:6-8 has a few words for us that are relevant for today. Verse six reads,"Many are asking who can show us anything good?" When I read that, I thought, wow, doesn't that sound familiar? It sounds like something someone would say who is restless, pessimistic about their life's situation and their fate. This can be what we sound like when we're not fully trusting the Lord. When we let Satan's machinations loom larger than God's will for our lives, we only see the bad in life. The Bible says,"From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." Do you find yourself in a pattern of constantly complaining about everything you see? If so, I urge you to take careful examination of your heart. Examine your priorities and see if maybe you've let the cares of this world take greater precedence in your mind than the life-giving provision of God's Spirit. The last half of Psalm 4: 6 gives David's prayer for those who can't see anything good. It reads,"Let the light of your face shine on us, Lord." David ends this Psalm with a declaration of what life looks like when we place God first in our lives. It reads,"You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and new wine abound. I will both lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, Lord, make me live in safety."

:

That is my prayer for you today. I pray that you open your heart to God and that he reveals himself to you so you can see his hand of faithfulness already at work in your life. I pray that he fills your heart with joy and that he grants you peace. God's power far, far outweighs that of the enemy's. With God, these things are possible. Don't let the enemy lie and tell you otherwise. Do not believe his lies. God is in control.

Speaker 1:

That's all I have for today. I hope these words encourage you guys. Remember, until next time, God loves you so much. And I do too. Take care. Bye!
